Lovely guesthouse extremely clean and bright along with being close to everything. James and Christine are so kind and welcoming, nothing was to much trouble. They looked after me and a friend and our pooches so well. Breakfast was very filling and lovely all freshly cooked to order. I would highly recommend the Torbay guesthouse to anyone wanting to bring their pets on holiday.
Myself and my nan stayed here for 4 nights. James, Christine and family are so welcoming and friendly they really make you feel at home. The room was perfect with a real homely vibe. We’ve had such a lovely time we’ve booked in for next year but we’re staying for 6 nights next time as we love it here. Highly recommend Torbay Guest House it’s a beautiful place to stay, located near the beach and a short walk from shops. It’s also really quiet and peaceful.
I don’t know why this is advertised as 3 star everything I experienced top end hotels struggle with! If you’re in the market for a clean and snug room while in the area look now further!! What an absolute Gem. While you’re at it head in to the pub couple doors down friendly fun and cheap! Thank you guys I will continue to come back every time I’m around. Found my home from home! It is a 10 minute walk to paignton pier with bustling restaurants and arcades. There is a pub. At the end of the road and a restaurant which is less than a few minutes. Rooms are well lit with natural light and its very peaceful. The breakfast is filling, well cooked and delicious. James, Christine & Co are lovely- very helpful, kind and patient. They can recommend or obtain anything you need. They also go above and beyond to cater your experience to your stay. The pictures do not do the place justice. There's plenty of things to keep little ones entertained and a bar for the adults should you wish to just relax. It's a laid back atmosphere. Very clean and tidy.
We were touring around and prior to departing found this guesthouse online. We stayed 2 nights. The rooms want for nothing. From a fridge to very soft fluffy towels. The breakfast was awesome and the scrambled eggs the best we have ever tasted. Location is good with lots going on locally. A few doors down is a great pub and worth a visit.
I went with my 3 boys and we had an amazing stay in room 9. Spacious, immaculately clean, well appointed with a fridge and bladeless fan and the beds were so comfortable, I slept better than at home. Shower was great with good pressure and temperature..... The breakfast was absolutely delicious with good quality food cooked to perfection. It is family run which made it really child friendly, the hosts were fantastic and gave us such a wonderful welcome, we really felt like nothing was too much trouble, everyone was super friendly. James, Christine and family have really hit the nail on the head and I would highly recommend coming here to anyone. Thank you for an amazing stay, we hope to return next time we visit Paignton It was in a great location with the beach a short walk across the road and there is a pay and display car park at the end of the (short) road if there isn't (free) on street/driveway parking..... There wasn't anything negative that I could say at all, we had a fabulous time
Absolutely loved our stay at Torbay Guest House in Paignton! It’s in such a great spot — only a 2-minute walk to the beach, perfect for a quick stroll or catching the sunrise over the sea. The hosts were so, so accommodating and made us feel completely at home from the start there is nothing they wouldn't do to make us feel content. We stayed in the Blue Room and it was amazing — beautifully decorated, spotless, and honestly kitted out with everything you could think of with little touches that made it feel extra, extra special. You can tell a lot of care has gone into making sure guests have everything they need. Would 100% recommend and we’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Paignton!
We, as an extended family, stayed at Torbay Guesthouse for four nights this Christmas (25). Before booking, and again before arrival James was very proactive in both offering information and inviting questions. All communication was clear, professional but friendly. James and Christine met us on arrival and showed us around, checked if we needed anything and the left us to do our thing, making sure we knew we could ask for anything as they were near by. All the rooms were exactly as we expected - clean, tidy and made as asked (Twin, sofa bed etc). There was ample bath and hand towels. Going away for Christmas is always a "stress" - is there enough space/ovens/fridge space etc etc. But honestly, the only thing we found we needed were oven gloves (I didn't want to ruin T Towels) - miraculously some appeared on boxing day morning! As far as dining space/lounge space it was ample for us (our family came in and out as work patterns allowed). James and Christine were kind, helpful but gave us space. There was no judgement on the empty bottles or the family laughter when we played games etc. We were so pleased we provisionally booked for next Christmas. Thank you James, Christine and family.
